By profession, Josh Balerite Acol is a Medical Laboratory Scientist. But somewhere between long hospital shifts, unfinished cups of coffee, and the quiet hours past midnight, she became something else too, a storyteller.

She writes about real life the way most people experience it: tired, hopeful, messy, funny, heartbreaking, and somehow still beautiful.

As a single mother of four, Josh has mastered the art of balancing responsibility with creativity. One moment, she’s handling laboratory work during a 24-hour duty. Next, she’s writing essays, reflections, poetry, or deeply human stories that feel like conversations with an old friend.

Her writing is rooted in emotion, honesty, humor, and the small details people often overlook.

Josh is also one of the editors and contributors behind several Medium publications, including Readers Hope, Curated Newsletters, SYNERGY, ILLUMINATION’S MIRROR, LAMPSHADE, Reader’s Hope, and A Night With the Sun.

She doesn’t write because life is perfect. She writes because writing helps her survive it.

Her stories are for the exhausted dreamers, the overthinkers, the quiet fighters, the single parents trying their best, and the people still searching for light in difficult seasons.

If her words sometimes feel personal, it’s because they are.

Josh believes the best stories are not always the loudest ones. Sometimes, they are simply honest enough to make someone feel less alone.

When she’s not working or writing, she’s usually collecting thoughts for her next essay, bonding with her children, drinking coffee she accidentally reheated three times already, or trying to convince herself that resting is also productive.

If you enjoy heartfelt reflections, relatable life stories, gentle humor, and reminders that ordinary people can still live meaningful lives—you’ll probably feel at home here.

And who knows?

Maybe one story will stay with you longer than expected.
